Remember is the debut album of Tel Aviv based guitarist Yair Yona.
The album was originally released in 2009 with Anova Music and was reissued via Strange Attractors Audio House‘s Resurrection Series .
Remember combines American and British fingerstyle guitar, updated with well-placed indie and post-rock flourishes and touches of Eastern European folk music. Yair’s playing utilizes alternate tunings, syncopations, and an immense compositional instinct to lead a John Fahey-type acoustic sound across a gentle landscape of electronics, banjo, bass guitar and strings. Tunes range in reference from Robbie Basho to Jack Rose and even Godspeed You! Black Emperor, comprising an ambitious yet highly accessible body of work.
